Selzer Werderitsch Associates is looking for a motivated person to fill the position of Project Superintendent. This is a challenging position and is the most senior of the field positions. This person works closely with a Project Manager and is responsible for all activity on a job site on a daily basis. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial general construction and the applicant must be an experienced carpenter. Experience in concrete work, setting forms, site surveying and layout are necessary as is a working knowledge of all other construction trades. The ability to read and interpret blueprints is essential as are excellent communication skills. The applicant must have a valid Iowa Driver’s License and have a high school diploma. Additional advanced education at a collage or trade school is preferred but not required. The applicant must also be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.

 The Project Superintendent must be able to manage a diverse jobsite, lead a crew of up to ten individuals, assign daily duties and schedule material deliveries. The Project Superintendent must also schedule and manage multiple subcontractors on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This individual works with the General Superintendent to staff the job site and works daily with the Project Manager on all aspects of a project. This position reports both to the General Superintendent and the Project Manager.
